Damn, OK, wow, what a fucking blur the last 2 weeks were. Took a break from the Rock Report to party big time. Now we’re in the winter local shows haul for a few months. I’ll be laying low during the week nights working on slugworth promo’s but I’ll be in full force on the weekends.

So anyway, here’s a motivational recap on the last few weekends and shows I did. Let’s see, I know since the last Rock Report I was at The Living Room and Green Room on the 20th/Dec. but who the hell did I see (I think when I popped into The Green for a bit Betty Finn was on? And I do possibly believe I caught Letdown at The Living Room. Hmmm, all very foggy at this point). There’s that blur again for the last 2 weeks of the year. Oh, the drugs/alcohol. Love it. Well I know I was there but I didn’t note who I saw. Great.

Christmas night, I do know I played The Living Room acoustic. Felt good to get out of the houses. Sure it was mellow but that’s the holiday shift for ya. Kris Hansen/The Problem played that night also. And that Friday the 27th I continued the acoustic Slugworth thing at The Safari. Thanks out to Jason Carpenter (Nocturnal Sun & Mike G. & the Vacations) for sett’n that up. Nocturnal played (Jason, what a bitch tuning that Floyd Rose!!), headed it. Before that was The Carlos something Project (have their CD, cool noisy band from CT), then Baylies Band and I opened it. Now that was a good time, good turn-out for the post-Christmas thing.

New years Eve, I hit The Met for a very cool gig with Sasquatch and The Mercy Beat. Ya know New Years Eve is always a hit or miss on where to be but this one wasn’t bad at all. Crowd picked up nice by the time Sasquatch hit it. The Mercy Beat is do’n great. A good time had.

Last weekend I hit The Green Room, caught Jiya sounding pisser as usual. And scenester George’s new band, Randy Pinto and the Galactic Boots debuted (best new band name). Def a fun live entertaining art/rock band.

So that brings us up to speed.

Know that Slugworth is hard at work getting our new drummer Mark Ray up on the songs for his debut on Feb 1st at The Living Room. We’ll be premiering a new tune, also. Hopefully we’ll be hitting Joe Moody’s/Danger for the spring to get out the next slug-CD.

I ran into some of the now-ex Soulshed guys at The Green Room last week and they have a new thing go’n. Sorry, forgot the name but hey, just another example of how bands break-up and ya get new stuff out of it. Skintrance is the other incarnation that’s started up from members of Soulshed too.

Switch 9 is out. What’s his name who drummed for them is now in that Randy Pinto and the Galactic Boots deal.

When I saw Dino from shed last week I do believe he said he’s got something new going on now also now that he’s exited shed. Gary/IMPRINT is do’n the fill-in for him in shed. So much going on, constant morphing on the local rock scene.

Coming in at furious angle. Yes, I am on the local music move. Shit, after last night, that was tough being near a TV, you can only take so much 911 remembrance without getting pissed and down all at once. Especially when they bring out the kids.

Satyr, the madman behind Slugworth, used to regularly publish an email known as his "Local Rock Report". It was frequently informative, always mis-typed, and chock full o Satyr's wisdom. Satyr has since moved on to other pastures, and we have archived some of his Rock Reports here so future generations may bask in the glow.
