Okay, I have to admit, da Diggla is confused. I've been sent out to cover another show at the Century Lounge. It's a RattleHead show, of course, called "Have you seen this Cat?". I'm confused because it seems like everytime I get assigned a show, its some cat thing at The Century. Jeez, I think Ive done 15 in the past year.

The whole cat thing dont make no sense neither. The bands never really match, and they're def not any cats hanging around. (Although every one has had some top shelf kitty presentn, I dont think thats what it means.)

So I walk in with the Josie Band on the stage. And Josie is a smokin blond cutie who looks nothing like her voice... she sounds like a cross between beth hart and lisa loeb, but looks a bit like Julie the Captain's daughter on the loveboat. They had an upright bass and a mandolin and Josie played a twelve string, while the drummer had this tiny little kick drum. He made it sound great and all, but there's something to be said about the size of a brothers drum, know what I mean? It was a good start to the night, actually, cause they weren't completely loud and obnoxious. Good appetizers.

Soon after I got there, the honey count began to climb since they all knew da diggla was in the house. A couple college cuties were out and about. Nothing girls gone wild, understand, but present and accounted for. Especially the honey with the black tanktop. I know baby, you look pissed off but its all good, trust me.

Immune was next. The singer was this angry Treat Williams looking dude. They were good, and really tight. I liked the way they broke into each song, kinda warming up and looking at each other like they have a secret plan. Their sound is kind of like a heavy verve pipe or candlebox. They were loud and solid like da Diggla loves it.

Riley was this cool high school punk ska thing i'd seen a few years back. Now they dropped the horns, probably in college too. They sound great! They went down like beer n fried chicken, real good. At first they seem like a blink182 or some queer ass industry punk tofu meat substitute, but no; they have flava! These guys are the real damn deal and they play hard. I completely dig their style of writing and the way they flat out rock.

This last band was the Clones of Sam. They weren't listed on the bill (Grandizer Punch?) and I had no clue who they were. They were kinda like Tom Petty meets Live meets Cracker. They had cool arrangements and the singer was kinda funny the way he got calls on his cell from his mother between songs. I know it was all a joke (da diggla got the scam down), but it was funny.

Y'all know that when da Diggla needs to find the top shelf honeys, he goes to the Mastamindz. An that's not the only reason to come down to the show tonight. Four o the best bands are playing right now... Immune, The Stereobirds (with the smokin hot Heather Rose), Immune, M-80, and Mastamindsz (of course). Whatta craaazy night. That's a too much Tequila wake up on the bathroom floor kinda show. M-freakin'-80. Thats all I gotta say, right? Holy crap.
