2004 Providence Phoenix Best Music Poll Night @ The Call

Y'all know that when da Diggla needs to find the top shelf honeys, he goes to the Mastamindz. An that's not the only reason to come down to the show tonight. Four o the best bands are playing right now... Immune, The Stereobirds (with the smokin hot Heather Rose), Immune, M-80, and Mastamindsz (of course). Whatta craaazy night. That's a too much Tequila wake up on the bathroom floor kinda show. M-freakin'-80. Thats all I gotta say, right? Holy crap.

RattleHead's here recording it, cuz that's what they do. It seems almost a sure thing to see them at good show nowadays, even reassuring.

Mastamindz of course completely dropped da bomb. What a way to start a show; who can follow that? The honeys began to stream in, and suddenly it was backstage at Victoria's Secret again. Ahhh.... the Mastamindz effect! And they dropped the phatest Rage cover, damn.

The Stereobirds.... well, damn if that Heather ain't one fine ass first class babe. The whole band has its horse in gear (whatever that means - ed) and is ready to ride. They cranked this joint and da diggla be damned, they even played his favorite song: dumbest mofo. Afterwards, I even caught them taking band photos out front... lookin' good!

Immune is a strange group of guys. Besides the lack of a worthy babe at the helm, they sweat like pigs when the play. Clearly, they work hard for the money. The strangest part is how they opened the show: they introduced themselves as "Immune from Los Angeles". Well, shit, if I'd known it was that kinda party I'd have stuck my dick in the mash potatoes. (Nice use of a gratuitous Beastie Boys reference - ed) I found out later that the band was actually moving to LA after the show. So that was their last RI show as an RI band. Like I said, it sucks 'bout the taters.

M-80 -- they's my homies. I've seen these guys a bunch o times, and even though the lack of a babe would hold most bands back, M-80 just plain rocks. Flat-out smack in the ass power punk to make all the pain go away. Thinking bad thoughts about your ho? Well throw your fist in the air and jump in the game. You'll forget about dat crazy bitch in no time. Guaranteed!
